December brings with it the opportunity to attend many enjoyable and festive events, and none more so than the second War Child Winter Wassail organised and hosted by actress Carey Mulligan and her husband, musician Marcus Mumford.


War Child Winter Wassail at One MayfairIt was a magical evening featuring fantastic performances by Mumford & Sons, Rita Ora, Hozier and Jack Garrett, to name a few, a wonderful three-course meal from chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and a star studded self videoed recitation of The Night Before Christmas featuring Dame Judi Dench, Simon Pegg, Helen Mirren, Martin Freeman, Eddie Redmayne, Daniel Radcliffe, Andrew Lincoln, Helena Bonham-Carter and Mark Ruffalo.

 

This exclusive and intimate event held at One Mayfair raised £715,000 for War Child, a charity providing life-changing support to the most vulnerable children whose families and communities have been torn apart by war.
